Ordered a simple dish, sliced beef with vegetables. Good size portion ($15 on dinner menu) beef was tender, vegetables were a couple pieces of broccoli, water chestnuts and a lot of celery in a simple brown sauce. Food came out of kitchen in 3 minutes, as they were probably annoyed of the time of day. Flavor was very bland, didn't taste like they added any spices at all. Lot of seafood on menu that I wanted to try, but they made me feel like I was in a restaurant that should have been closed between lunch and dinner.
Extra Bonus it's affordable.
Best authentic Chinese food in Broward County area. Don't let the outside fool you. Inside is nicely laid out with a traditional Chinese restaurant ambience but friendlier than normal service.
Been here more than several times, but this last time I just have to write a review. It's been known for Silver Pond restaurant to have great food but alongside with that you gotta would get a dose of bad service. We came in for a dinner a month ago or so to enjoy our favorite dish, the fried pork chops mixed with salt/pepper. Usually it is phenomenal, but this time it was TOO salty to consume. We told our server along with the nearby waiters to go in the kitchen to check what is going on with the dish, everyone of them would come out and claimed "there's nothing wrong" with the dish, saying that the problem was our taste buds. We've been here many times so we know full well how the dish would taste like. To be honest we wouldn't mind at all if only the servers were more attentive to their customers instead of just acting like there is a communication "barrier", ignorant to our requests and expecting good tip. We tipped them way more than what they deserve for their service, which near to none considering how dissatisfied we were after that dinner outing. I usually don't go on websites to write a bad review, I only do when I don't feel appreciated as a customer that wants to enjoy good food and service. It's a shame when they have great food but terrible waiter service, maybe I will just get take-out from now on.
I will definitely come back here during "normal" hours to try some of the other menu items.
My friends and I find it Best for each person orders one entry each and with their convenient spinning Laze Susan in the middle of the big round tables, we all enjoy a little bit of everything. No one leaves hungry. I recamend the family size Mellon soup perfect apprizer
It was good, not the best i ever had but ok. The crowd wasnt great but maybe we went too early. Very traditional we overall liked it. It's located in a shopping plaza kind of tucked away.
This Chinese restaurant is very highly rated in South Florida. I had a late lunch here (4pm) and as I expected, I was the only one in the restaurant. Very nice decor. Servers seemed a little annoyed as this was obviously their break time.
